Handle - 39. FC BEADLE'S TURBO NINA, "Nina," LF, Dave Rorem

Came to the line at 2:10 pm

Short - A little turn to her left and she had her bird.

Flyer - Coming in right of the bird she hunted the shoreline and on the land near the shore before going up the hill and finding the flyer.

Left - She got through the water and came in behind the gunners. She works it out and heads back in with her bird.

Right -handle - Going wide right Nina cuts left to the water. establishing a large hunt. She got handled off point and to the bird.  The last bird of a very good year.

34. NFC-AFC ROBBER'S STRAY BULLET, "Bullet," LM, Alan Pleasant

Came to the line at 2:33 pm

Short - Bullet went to the bird and back.

Right - He had a big splash in the water. A great line to his bird. Came out a little short but a quick circle and he was on the bird.

Flyer - Bullet shot off the line driving down the hill and through the end of the cover to swim across the pond. On the swim he faded left coming out behind the gunners. He bent around the gunners and with a loop he had his bird.

Left - handle - Good initial line but arrived driving the area only to handled back in.

Another successful year for Bullet and now it time to go home for some popcorn.

Tenth Series Sketch

22. FC TRUMARC'S GRATUITY, "Tippy," LF, Danny Farmer

Came to the line at 2:20 pm

Short - A quick turn left and back with the bird.

Right - A quick check on the point and back into the water to hunt the area behind the gunners working her way to the bird.

Flyer - Taking the water and on the line to the flyer turning left as she exited the water she worked the hillside to come in with the bird.

Left - She went through the cover and the arc of the short bird, she hits the water and begins to fade right in her swim. Working it out quick she brought Danny her bird.

A year of effort to be proud of.

12. FC-AFC FRESH SQUEEZED JUICE, "Juice," LM, Mark Medford

Came to the line at 2:02 pm

Short - Through the strip of cover and back with the bird.

Right - Hunting a bit with some loops in the water, he then went out deep right of the gunners and had a few more loops and to his bird.

Flyer - Nice line through the water. He worked his way up the hill and nearly to the corn and came up with the bird.

Left - Juice went through the cover on a good initial line. He faded left but corrected as he neared the gunner area to come back with the bird.

Our oldest dog in the Championship, Juice just shows us the phenomenal ability of these dogs.

Handle - 1. FC-AFC BAYPOINT'S WESTMINSTER ABBEY, "Abbey," LF, Kenny Trott

Short - Through the strip then faded right but corrected herself and picked up the bird.

Right - handle - Hunted short along a point that was on the way to the right retired. After a couple of loops she drove on but was drawn to a flyer a few whistles and she was back on the bird.

Flyer - She got out of the water and was pulling hard left. She put on a hunt behind the guns. A few more loops and she was back on the front to the area of the fall and on the bird.

Left - She went over the fall of the short bird and through the pond into the area of the fall for a lovely finish to her National.

Test Dogs - Tenth Series

First Test Dog - Coast - Valerie Marks

Came to the line at 1:00 pm

Short - Threw the strip left and to the bird and brought back a hen duck

Flyer - Had a big hunt behind and deep of the gunners. Worked his way right with a little help of the gunners. Came back with a rooster

Right - Into the pond and online to the flyer gunners, then handled to the right retired guns. Gunners had to step out. He came back with hen pheasant.

Left - Went way left of the area. The handler tried whistles to stop him but felt the dog couldn't hear them. Gunners stepped out to help to pick up the hen pheasant.

**The Judges decided to change the line and the position of the short bird**

Second Test Dog - Rosie - Michael McDaniel

Came to the line at 1:22 pm

Short - She went through the strip and to the bird

Right - In the water and around the back side of the gunners and back with the bird.

Flyer - Through the cover strip and up the back side of the short bird, she went into the water, driving the hill, had a hunt in the area and she was on the bird.

Left - Through the cover past the short gun. Splashed into the pond then faded right when she came out and continued on until she found the gunners and worked her way to the bird.

Tenth Series - Land/Water Quad

The winds are WSW at 8 mph. The handler will face northwest overlooking a pond that is at the base of the hill. There is a narrow strip of high cover shattercane about 100 yards from the line that extends from the left to three quarters of the way to the marks. The field is hayed and sparsely dotted with round bales.

Standing on the mat, the handlers are facing NW looking down a hill, across a hay field with a winding waterway through the field. Winds are WSW hitting the handler in the left shoulder. The first bird thrown is a dead hen pheasant. This bird is thrown angle back left at 310 yards. These gunners retire. This bird is down the hill, through a strip of cane. They then cross a hay field and catch a channel of water on the way to the bird. This station is on the left side of the test.

The second bird is thrown from a station on the right side of the pond at 230 yards. These guns throw a hen pheasant to the left. They are located on the right side of the field, down the hill and across a hay field. The dog must then navigate a channel of water and climb the bank to retrieve the bird. These guns retire.

The third bird is a rooster pheasant flyer shot angle back to the right at 325 yards from the mat. The line to this bird takes the dog down a hill, through a strip of cane and out into a pond. He swims across the pond and climbs the far hill to his bird that lands in a hay field close to an area of dried corn.

The fourth bird thrown is a hen duck in the center of the field at 173 yards from the line. This bird is thrown to the left and the gunners stay out. The dogs must go down a hill, through a strip of cane and out to the bird located between the cane and a pond.

The test is taking approximately 12 minutes.

The starting dog is number 1.

It was asked for all people to hold here at the site except for the workers. The callbacks will be announced at the 9th series site as well.

After the callbacks, the dogs that were not called back and gallery are asked to go to the parking lot on the north.

The dogs that are being called back are to remain here as they will be shuttled to the 10th Series site!

Blind - Great line - two whistles at the end

Short - Came into the cane just right of the blind and straight to his bird

Long - Direct line to the cane and to the blind. One turn to his bird.

55. FC-AFC ARAGORN XIII, "Aragorn," LM, Bill Sargenti

Blind - Great initial line to the bale, one whistle to adjust the line and one to his bird.

Short - He went into the cane and right at the bird - Nice

Long - SMACK!!

50. VISION OF MISS REBARIFIC, "Reba," LF, Clint Avant

Line at 11:28 am

Blind - One whistle a third of the way crossed the field that carried her past the line. Clint had to blow the whistle to make an adjustment on her line and one last one for Reba to get her bird.

Short - She went out and in to the cane on top of her bird.

Long - She took a worn path through the cane and went around the end of the second patch of cane, came through the middle of it and to her bird.

49. FIELD OF DREAMS ALL BETS ARE ON, "Betsy," LF, Dave Smith

Blind - Good line across the field and right of the bale. One whistle to cast towards the bird and another to stop and get her bird

Short - She got into the cover and came out with her bird

Long - She broke through the first line of cane and went straight into the second batch of it to get her bird - Nice

Handle - 47. FC-AFC ROUGH CREEK'S LIBERTY BELL, "Bella," LF, Mark Medford

Blind - First whistle short of the bale and one to adjust to the correct line one more to the bird and the last one to get the bird.

Short - She went into the cover by the blind and worked her way to her bird.

Long - She went out through the first row of cane coming out wide right and digging up the hill. She got handled to her bird.
