It was asked for all people to hold here at the site except for the workers. The callbacks will be announced at the 9th series site as well.

After the callbacks, the dogs that were not called back and gallery are asked to go to the parking lot on the north.

The dogs that are being called back are to remain here as they will be shuttled to the 10th Series site!

The Ninth Series is in the books at 11:42 am.

The Tenth Series is going to held here on the Parramore Fish Property.

Stay tuned as we are getting closer to crown our 2017 National Retriever Club Champion!!!

GOOD MORNING – Location for today's test …

The location for the Ninth and Tenth Series will be back at the "Parramore Fish" property owned by Judy Rasmuson. A great big "Thank You!" goes to Judy for the use of her land this past week for the 2017 National Open Championship.

Please follow the "NRC" signs after you exit Hwy 84 in Boston at the blinking light. OR consult the online NRC Training Guide for more detailed instructions.

Test Dogs at 6:30 and running dogs at 7:00 am or as soon after as the conditions allow.

We have been very lucky thus far with out connectivity during our coverage of the 2017 National Retriever Club Championship. However, while we are still able to post our descriptions, we are having issues posting pictures. This task is going very slowly, but please know we will get all the photos up as we can.

Fog, Fog Go Away …

As we are waiting for the fog to lift, we are acutely aware that we a burning daylight. We expect the Sixth Series Water Triple with Two Retired and an Honor to begin soon.

Tic Toc Tic Toc...

Hey Y'all,

We are still waiting for the Callbacks. We won't let you down, as soon as we get them we will post them!

Some Thoughts as Test Five Continues …

The dogs seem to be having a problem pushing off from the walk-out bird and then missing their flyer. The flyer is shot angled in making these two birds closer to each other than first described. Where the flyer lands has a big influence on how the dogs react to picking up the flyer.

It is just after 10:00 o'clock and the wind has picked up considerably and is at the handler's back at 7 mph.

Today we are traveling to Florida to the Metcalf Farm. We have been told that we may have a problem with connectivity. This location is just under an hour from Thomasville, GA. We will be traveling there this morning to ascertain the situation and will let you know as we put a test post up from our tent this morning.

Workers' Party

Today's testing will conclude at a reasonable time so that everyone can enjoy tonight's Workers' Party at the Pebble Hill Plantation. This party is for all the folks who have helped put on this National. Come as you are from the field – You deserve it!

Welcome to Wednesday - Day Four

Good Morning Y'all.

We are starting the Fourth Series on the White's Property. The plan is to run a Land Triple.

Our early morning temperatures are 45 degrees but it feels like 40...Yes It Does!

We have NNE wind at 5 mph.

The humidity is at 92% and there is a heavy dew that settled in overnight.

The skies are clear and we are expecting the sun to shine and temperatures to go up to 67 degrees.

We are getting the final preparations done and should be starting the day shortly with running the test dogs as soon as the sun rises and visibility is appropriate to start, and the first running dog #47.

***Special Announcement***

At 3:55 pm the judges decided to scrap test four Land Blind. It was announced that Test Four will start tomorrow with the test dogs being called to the line at 6:30 am and the first running dog #47 being called to the line at 7:00 am.

Tomorrow's test will be held at White's location.

Good Tuesday Morning!!

Welcome to the 3rd Day of the National Retriever Club Championship.

The skies are clear with a temperature of 50 degrees.  There is a heavy morning dew with a slight breeze from the N NE at about 5 mph.

We will be running the first test dog, "Rosie," as soon as the sun rises enough for good visibility.

Our first running dog will be dog #70, George handled by Alan Pleasant. We have 24 dogs left to run to complete the Second Series a Water Triple with Two Retired.
