Double Handle - 81. FC MAGIC TRICK'S ZUMA, "Zuma," LM, Greg Bartlett

Came to the line at 5:03 pm

Short -Down the hill and through the cover and straight to his bird.

Flyer - Down cross the field on an excellent line to the right retire. He got into the pond over the end of the island and hit the far shore and headed left for the flyer - Nice Job

Right - handle - Resent for the right retired, he went down the hill on a line wide right and through the pond. He had to be handled down the hill and over to his bird.

Left - handle - Nice line down the field and into the pond. Had to be handled to his bird.

The end to a "Magical" year.









***ANNOUCEMENT***

***FINAL SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT***

We would ask the contestants and workers to remain here at the test site. We invite the gallery to please proceed to the Bunk House. Follow the road south, past the barn, kennels and the house on the right. Please park where signs direct. There, we invite you for complimentary beer, wine and hors d'oeuvres and Finalist recognition and the announcement of our Winner.

80. FC-AFC CANDLEWOODS TEQUILA EXPRESS, "Patron," LM, Mark Medford

Came to the line at 4:48 pm

Short - He stayed in front of the gun and out to his bird.

Right - Patron went down the hill and through the pond exiting to the right of the blind. He hunted deep then  back to the shoreline to his bird.

Flyer - Down the field to the point where he was hung in drag back on out to the flyer area where he had a large area hunt.

Left - He went down the hill in front of the short bird. He got into the pond and cross down the past the holding blind then out to his bird.

Raise your glass for Patron on a successful National and year.





Handle - 77. FC-AFC B. BUMBLE, "Stinger," LM, Ray Voigt

Came to the line at 4:37 pm.

Short -Down the hill in front of the gun and turned left for his bird.

Right - Down the hill and into the pond he got out on the right of the blind and made a loop to the left and got his bird.

Flyer - handle - Down to the waters edge, Stinger got hung up on a drag back on the bank and the point. Had to handle away from the land and away from the right retired.

Left - Taking an excellent line towards the blind he got into the cove on the line. He excited past the blind to the bird.

Stinger finished the National with a Nice long retired.




75. FC-AFC MCKINLEY FIRST ASCENDER-HUDSON, "Hudson," LM, Wayne Curtis

Came to the line at 4:15 pm

Short - Hudson got down the hill and to the fall area to get his bird.

Right - He crossed the field on a good angle to his bird. On his swim he barely passed the blind but he toe nailed the shore and got his bird.

Flyer -He went down the slope into the pond on a nice line. Hit the point and pushed right to hit the island and pushed right. He got up the hill and hunted left and right then over the top of the bird and found his bird.

Left -Hudson went down the hill and in front of the center bird into the pond. Swimming the big water, he exited out and got deep, working his way down to the right blind and FINISHED IT!

From Alaska to Georgia to finish all 10 series of the National Open, Hudson can be proud of his successful year.

Handle - 74. FC VINWOOD'S MILLION DOLLAR BABY, "Babe," LF, Danny Farmer

Came to the line at

Short - SMACK!!

Right - She went down the field into the pond. Came out right of the blind, running deep but coming back down to the blind then went left to the bird.

Flyer - She crossed the field to the right of the center gun and into the big water. She toe nailed the point on a good line up to the corn rows. She hunted left and right to her bird.

Left - handle - Heading to the left of the field Danny had to handle Babe back into her bird in a brisk breeze. She will be proud to finish the 2017 National Open Championship.



55. FC-AFC ARAGORN XIII, "Aragorn," LM, Bill Sargenti

Came to the line at 3:50 pm

Short - Down the hill, a left turn and on the bird.

Right - Initial line wide right but corrected himself to take the edge of the pond and come up behind the gunners to go right around and pick up his bird.

Flyer - Going wide right, Aragorn went around the right retired guns. He missed the water but drove the hillside and bend around the left to come up with his bird.

Right - Catching a part of the pond on his way out, he headed straight to the bird. Good end to a successful year.




Double Handle/pick up - 42. FC SEASIDE'S GORGEOUS GEORGE, "Clooney," LM, Alan Pleasant

Came to the line at 3:35 pm

Short -An other great Loop and a Scoop.

Right - A quick check of some scent on an island, then he went over to the shore where he made a couple of loops and picked up the bird.

Flyer - handle - Running close to the same line as the right retired he received  a whistle to move over to the flyer.

Left - handle/pick up - A handle to put him through the arc of the short bird and whistles to get him to the bird. Our youngest dog in the 10th Series, we are certain to see him again.

Handle - 50. VISION OF MISS REBARIFIC, "Reba," LF, Clint Avant

Reba came to the line at 3:18

Short - A loop and a Scoop!

Right - Coming in right of the pond she set up a short hunt deep of the gunners. She picks up the bird and came back the way she left.

Flyer - Coming out of the water just below the gunners she established a large hunt the drew her left and in need of a handle to her bird.

Left - Good initial line, around the edge of water and right to his bird. A trial season to be proud of!!

48. NAFC-FC MULLIGAN OFF THE RAINY "T", "Mully," LM, Randy Spangler

Came to the line at 3:07 pm

Short - Mully drove down the hill and through the cover on a good line. Made a quick loop and scooped up his bird and brought home.

Right - Coming in wide right he is putting up a hunt behinda nd worked her way around the holding blind to the bird.

Flyer - What started out slightly right he corrected himself during the swim to come out and step on the flyer!

Left - An excellent initial line and he was headed home with the bird for a memorable finish to his National.
