This is the Eighth is a Water Triple with Two Retired, a Sluice and
an Honor. The first bird down is a retired gun up the middle. (Middle
Retired) This is hen duck thrown to the left at 225 yards. The line to this bird is
an angle entry into a channel of water then across a small spit of land.
Then a reentry into a pool of water and over a second spit of land. At
the far side of this body of water there will be two more reentries into
different channels. Then the dog exits the last channel to where the
bird lands.
The second bird is Right Retired gun. This
is also a hen duck thrown left at 116 yards. The dog should do another angle
entry into the water then cross a spit of land and back into the water
to retriever the bird.
The final bird is a drake Flyer
shot to the left at 49 yards at about a 45 degree angle to the left of the line. It
is followed by a sluice. The dog should enter the channel of water go up
and over the spit of land and to its bird.
After the completion of the marks, the dog is sent to the honor box. This test takes about 10 - 11 minutes.
