Second Series is in the Books

It's a wrap. The second series is in the books at  10:06 am.

We have short move for the third series.

We will post the Callbacks as soon as we get them.

Handle - 97. WBF'S MAN ON THE STAND QA2, "Maestro," LM, Misty Melo

Came to the line at 10:02 am

Flyer - Maestro quickly picked up her bird.

Left - He made a big splash on her way to the long bird. He got up the hill and to the bird.

Middle - handle - He went around the edge of the water and on the line to the flyer. He had some whistles to bringhim to the bird.



Handle - 96. FC-AFC BACKWATER SWEET BAY MAGNOLIA, "Bay," LF, Keith Pharr

Came to the line 9:54 am

Flyer - Bay got out to the bird and took a couple of tight loops to get his bird and bring it in to Keith.

Left - Had a hunt to come up with the bird.

Middle - Sent the dog but she turned to look at her handler about 10 feet in front of the line. Keith gave her a back and sent her through the area of the middle bird to require some whistles to get to the bird.

95. FC-AFC HOCKLEY CREEK'S SWITCH HITTER, "Mickey," LM, Robby Bickley

Came to the line at 9:47 am

Flyer - Mickey made quick work of his flyer and brought it back to Robby.

Middle - He got through the water and up through the slot. A left turn and a quick right to his bird.

Left - He got in the water and over the point then back in water to exit out and drive the hill to make quick work of long retired.

93. FC-AFC COLONIAL'S HUBBA BUBBA, "Bo," LM, Ed Forry

Came to the line at 9:40 am

Flyer - Bo maintained a tight hunt pattern to work out the bird.

Middle - A quick hunt and back with the bird in his mouth.

Left - He got through the water and up the hill with a little loop and he was on his bird.

92. FC-AFC-CNFC-CNAFC NIGHTWINGS MARSH LEADER, "Guide," LM, Bill Sargenti

Came to the line at 9:34 am

Flyer - Guide went straight out and back.

Middle - He went through the water and up the left side to establish a hunt to the left of the retired guns. He worked over to the middle bird and in.

Left - Back through the water and arriving to the left of the bird, he turned to the right and pick up the bird.




90. FC CASTILE CREEKS KINGSEEDS REBEL YELL, "Billy," LM, Danny Farmer

Came to the line at 9:26 am

Flyer - Nice high flyer and Billy got it picked up quickly.

Middle - He went around the water and over the left end of the gunners mound. Billy went right to pick up his bird.

Left - He got through the water and up the hill to the backside of the retired guns. A quick left and on his bird.

Rerun - 84. FC WINDFIRE'S REMOTE START MH, "Keyta," LF, Chris Ledford

Came to the line for her rerun at 9:19 am

Flyer - Keyta went out to the mark and back.

Left - She went through the water and ran along the road to the left, throwing her into a hunt pattern that took her up the hill to pick up the long retired gun.

Middle - Got through the water and up the slot to step on the middle bird.

89. FC TUB'S NAUGHTY DAUGHTER, "Millie," LF, Greg Bartlett

Flyer - Millie got straight out to the flyer and back.

Middle - She got through the water and over the road and into the slot and quickly back with the bird.

Left - She got through the water, up and over the point and back in the water. She got up the hill and right to the bird.

Handle - 87. FC-AFC 3R'S MISTER CROSS YOUR T'S, "Tommy," LM, Ray Voigt

Came to the line at 9:06 am

Flyer - Tommy squared the road throwing him left of the fall. A controlled hunt pattern and he was on the bird.

Left - He went through the water adn up the hill to recover the long retired gun.

Middle - A handle to put him on the bird

2nd Rerun - 71. FC LANE'S KREWE CHEIF, "Chief," LM, Mark Smith

Flyer - Chief got out to the bird and brought it back to Mark.

Middle - He got through the slot and a couple tight loops and back with the bird.

Left - He got through the water and up the hill to establish a hunt on the backside of the long retired gun. Extending his pattern behind and up the hill of the middle guns, he finally worked back to his bird.

86. FC MERLYN'S AVATAR, "Avatar," LM, Jerry Patopea

Flyer - The short the flyer didn't bother Avatar. He went out and got back in with the bird.

Middle - Swimming along the shore, he came out to the left of the retired gunners. With a quick hunt he came up with the bird.

Left - He got through the water and up the hill for a nice mark.

85. FC GLENHOMA'S EL CHUPACABRA, "Chupa," LM, Tim Milligan

Flyer - Chupa went out to the bird and back in.

Middle - He went through the water and up through the slot for a quick retrieve.

Left - Chupa got through the water and up the hill to the backside of the retired guns. He took a quick left turn and got on his bird.


No Bird - 84. FC WINDFIRE'S REMOTE START MH, "Keyta," LF, Chris Ledford

At 8:45 am Keyta and Chris had a no bird on the flyer.  They will be place back five and run in the sixth spot back.

83. FC-AFC STEADFAST'S BACHELOR SPECIAL, "Croc," LM, Dave Rorem

Flyer - Croc got a nice flyer. He went out to the area and with a couple of loops and came back with the bird.

Middle - He went around the edge of the pond and up through the slot. He took a couple loops and headed back with the bird.

Left - Croc went through the water and up the hill with a turn just short of the bird, but he quickly recovered and had his bird on the next pass.


82. FC FLAWLESS EXECUTION - FLEX QAA, "Flex," LM, Alan Pleasant

Flyer - Flex worked a tight hunt pattern to come up with the bird.

Middle - He got through the water arriving left of the hay bales. Flex established a hunt pattern to bring him into the bird.

Left - A quick swim, he got out and drove the hill right of the left retired gun. Coming back into the area with a hunt pattern and picking up his bird.

Flex is the youngest running dog at this years event.

Conditions Update

As we were nearing the end of the second series, the temps as raised to 54 degrees but the wind has also increased coming from NE at about 6-10 mph. The sun is making every bird stand out. NE breeze appears to be helping the dogs when they get a little deep of the middle and left birds.

81. FC MAGIC TRICK'S ZUMA, "Zuma," LM, Greg Bartlett

Flyer - Zuma got out to the flyer and back.

Middle - She went around the edge of the water and to the left of gunners mound. He went in the slot and on the bird.

Left - He went through the water and over the point. He got over the road and driving the hill arriving at the area under the arch of the throw. He took a couple of loops and he had the bird.

80. FC-AFC CANDLEWOODS TEQUILA EXPRESS, "Patron," LM, Mark Medford

Came to the line at 8:19 am

Flyer - Patron got a high flyer, but he got out and brought Mark back his bird.

Middle - He went around the edge of the water, then corrected himself and went through the slot left of the gunners to come out quickly with the bird.

Left - Through the water, up the hill with a quick left turn and Patron was on the bird.


79. FC-AFC WESTSHORE BUDDY, "Buddy," LM, Jerry Kamphuis

Came to the line at 8:10 am

Flyer - Buddy took a couple of tight loops in the area of the fall and back with the bird.

Middle - Missing the water, he handily adjusted to slip into the slot and back out with the bird.

Left - He got through the water and up the hill. Had a couple of loops in the area bringing the bird back to Jerry.
