1st Series

The mat faces south and we are overlooking a fairly flat mowed pasture dotted with hay bales. There is a ditch meandering through the retired gun stations lined in heaver cover. The flyer gun station is seated at the base of an incline.

The first bird on the left is thrown to the right into heavy cover at 184 yards and it is a dead hen pheasant.  This station retires behind two hay bales after the dog is sent. The line to this station is left of the ditch and the dog might cross it about two thirds of the way down. The dog should exit the ditch in the mowed area then go into the heaver cover to retrieve the bird.

The middle bird is thrown to the left at 105 yards and is a dead rooster. This station also retires behind two hay bales after the dog is sent.

The last bird, the rooster flyer, is shot to the right at 167 yards.

The average time per dog is 6 minutes.
